Brúarfoss
Waterfall Easy

Brúarfoss

📍 South Iceland

📖 Description

Brúarfoss is known as Iceland's most intensely blue waterfall a vivid turquoise cascade fed by clean glacial meltwater filtered through geothermal springs. Its brilliant colour comes from silica-rich geology. Rediscovered by a travel blogger only a decade ago after years of obscurity, it still receives remarkably few visitors. The 3 km round-trip walk along the Brúará river passes through peaceful birch moorland.
