Fjaðrárgljúfur Canyon

📖 Description

Fjaðrárgljúfur is a winding canyon 2 km long and 100 metres deep, carved by the Fjaðrá river into soft palagonite rock. A narrow turquoise river threads between sheer walls covered in vivid green moss. A rim trail offers constantly changing views into the gorge. Though briefly famous after appearing in a music video, it has returned to relative quiet.
