Litlanesfoss is a stunning 30-metre waterfall framed by a perfect colonnade of tall basalt columns on both sides, creating a natural cathedral of hexagonal rock. It stands along the path to Hengifoss and is so beautiful that many hikers consider it the highlight of the trail. The geometric perfection of the surrounding columns is extraordinary they stand upright and symmetrical, best photographed in golden evening light.
