Rjúkandi Waterfall
📍 East Iceland
📖 Description
Rjúkandi "Steaming" is a tall slender waterfall plunging from a high plateau into a hidden valley near the East Iceland coast. The falls spray so fiercely that mist constantly rises from the pool. Right beside the Ring Road yet virtually unknown to passing tourists, it sits in a lush gorge framed by birch trees and ferns. A short trail leads to the base.
